My husband has been taking 20mg of Atorvastatin from our doctor, we recently went in to get our new prescriptions after our lab tests came back and he now has put my husband on simvastatin(Zorcor) a 10 mg tablet. Can you tell me if the dosage is the same even though its a 10 mg and not a 20mg dosage? How can this be ? Can you explain this to me in simple terms.
Yes you can cut your simvastatin in half and save money. Your pharmacist knows this and should be more than happy to find you cost savings
Simvastatin is not an MAOI.
