What happens if you take suboxone together with methadone?

It all depends on the test, but in a very standard less than 6 panel test they will both show as an opiate. While I was on the suboxone program I was given a 10 panel drug screen that had a panel only for buprenorphine and other panels for different opiates. So I believe unless it's a basic test then yes they can tell the difference.

I stongly don't think that is a good idea at all. I went to a drug detox unit for methadone roxicone and xanax with soma, If you take the suboxone you'd better wait to at least 36 hrs to take mehadone or opiates. Merhadone is an opiate antagonist and will push out any thing in your system and make you violantly ill with thinking your ganna die. If you stop taking methadone and want to start taking Suboxone you need to wait until you're in full blow withdrawls and even then everytime you go throght a detox it makes it harder on your body to recover. Benzodiazepam (Xanax) and Soma somethimes can't be stopped without dropping the doseage slowly or you will need to take phenobarbital. Most things you'll get at a detox unit for comfort are Librium, trazadone, and eith Buprenorphine shots that are bascally suboxone. If you are on more than 30 mg of methadone most dr's and hosp don't want to help you detox because it makes it much more harder for suboxone to start working, It took me 3 days after starting to take suboxone. I was sick from the methadone being still in my system since it stores in your fat cells like THC you can stop taking it excercize and come positive for it on a drug test for a couple months and up to a years later depending on how long you took it and what dosage. The purpose of Suboxone is to detox you from opiate drugs like methadone. If you are taking it, there is no point in taking the methadone, and vice-versa, unless you want to quit both. Combining suboxone and methadone can also make you very sick and result in severe withdrawals.
