Uloric (febuxostat) 40 mg is a medication used to manage chronic gout by lowering uric acid levels in the blood. It works by inhibiting xanthine oxidase, an enzyme involved in the production of uric acid. By reducing uric acid levels, Uloric helps prevent gout attacks and associated symptoms. It is typically prescribed for patients who have not responded well to other treatments.

i have been on Uloric for 4 months. I still get gout attacks every week. These have been the worst attacks of my life. I don't think uloric works at all, but it certainly doesn't work in less than 4 months.
