It has to do with liver enzymes. If a band test is high and WBC's are high the patient is a chronic alocholic..... there is no hiding that fact. If a band count is high with no high WBC that means that the liver is over stimulated for no apparent reason so more than likely the doctor need to do further testing to determine why the liver is working so hard. Most likely there is some kind of disease process with the liver or possibly the kidneys.
