My aunt who has alzheimers just started taking depakote. She already was on Paxil. Dr decreased the dose of paxil from 30mg to 20mg. She takes both paxil and the depakote in the evening.
Yes, but you'd only be getting half of the dose.
Yes, it can be crushed and ingested. I do this to decrease my dose. Now, another question is: Does it affect the efficacy of Paxil? I don't know. I ran into the problem of splitting, then quartering my Paxil. I wanted to split it further, and crushing it was the only immediately obvious solution.
Lexapro (escitalopram) and Paxil (paroxetine) are both selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) used to treat depression and anxiety. While dosages can vary based on individual response and specific conditions, a rough conversion suggests that approximately 10 mg of Lexapro is often considered equivalent to about 20 mg of Paxil. Therefore, to match Paxil's 40 mg dose, an approximate Lexapro dose would be around 20 mg. However, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional for personalized dosing recommendations.
A 25 mg dose of Paxil (paroxetine) is generally considered a moderate dose for treating conditions like depression or anxiety. The typical starting dose for adults is often 20 mg, and it can be increased based on individual response and tolerability. However, the strength of the dose can vary depending on the specific condition being treated and the patient's overall health. It's essential to follow a healthcare provider's guidance on dosage.

What is the max dosage per day for Demerol
It's a dose that is mostly used to start. 10mg is available to use but each doc to his own. PAxil can also start at 10mg to investigate the tolerance level and increased if no change after a few weeks. It is a rule of thumb not to add more then 40mg. 50mg in extreme cases but not recommend. It also depends on what you are being medicated for, there are a few uses for this drug.
