Oxycodone Acetaminophen IS Oxycodone-Hydrochloride, but combined with Acetaminophen. (Tylenol) The only difference is that the Oxycodone-Hcl is pressed into a tablet with Acetaminophen. They are NOT chemically combined, but only "mixed" together.
Oxycodone-Hydrochloride, or Oxycodone-Hcl, is an slightly acidic salt form of the opiate painkiller oxycodone. Oxycodone-Hcl is the form that almost every oxycodone tablet is found in. It is a crystalline salt form of the drug, and is used for oral (by mouth) administration.
Acetaminophen is a non-narcotic analgesic pain killer, which is found in many different over-the-counter (OTC) medications like Tylenol. Acetaminophen is often combined with low-strength narcotic opiate/opioid painkillers such as Lortab, Percocet, Endocet, ect. It is usually added to these medications to add to the pain relieving effects, and to discourage recreational drug abuse. In high doses, acetaminophen is highly toxic to the liver and can cause liver damage or failure.
Due to this, taking large doses of such combination medications is VERY dangerous and potentially fatal. If one insists upon abusing such drugs, there are methods to separate the acetaminophen from the oxycodone-hcl, but I will not discuss this because I do NOT condone drug abuse. On most prescription bottles for these combination medications (oxycodone-hcl with acetaminophen), you will see the letters APAP. This indicates the presence of acetaminophen in the medication. Acetaminophen is also commonly referred to as Paracetemol.

umm..... tell ur doctor u need more and that 15mgs is not effective
Thebaine is used to create other more effective opiate narcotic agonists and antagonists such as Oxycodone,Buprenorphine,Naloxone and a few others.
In general, many opiates can be more effective than oxycodone when taken at a high enough dose. But, using common doses taken by mouth, the opiates that cab be more effective are fentanyl (Duragesic), hydromorphone (Dilaudid), levorphanol (Levo-Dromoran), methadone, morphine, and oxymorphone (Opana). There are narcotic analgesic conversion tables and charts available on the internet and in libraries. These can be very helpful when trying to make comparisons.
Hydrocodone is not percocet. Percocet is a combination oxycodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is the active ingredient in brand name Vicodin, which also has acetaminophen in it. The difference is that oxycodone is a little more potent than hydrocodone, but both are very effective for treatment of pain.
Oxycodone doesn't come in 325mg dosages - you're likely using Percocet in generic form. The 325 is the Tylenol level in that drug. The Oxycodone level will be indicated with a 2.5, 5, 7.5 or 10. OxyContin has an 8-12 hour effectiveness, where Percocet only lasts 4-6 hours. So from that OxyContin is going to be the more effective of the two. (depending on the amount of Oxycodone present in each)
Ratio-Oxycocet 5-325mg is stronger than Lenoltec No.3 because it contains oxycodone, which is a stronger opioid pain medication compared to codeine in Lenoltec No.3. Oxycodone is typically more potent and effective in managing moderate to severe pain.
No, both are analgesic.. but they're not "equivalent" in efficiency.. oxycodone, at the same dosage, is twice more powerful than morphine. 10 mg morphine = 5 mg oxycodone.
Roxi typically refers to Roxicodone, a preparation of oxycodone. Oxi may refer to oxycodone in general, or more specifically Oxycontin, a continuous release form of oxycodone.
No, it has nothing more than oxycodone. I have an allergy to Tylenol so this is what i was prescribed while I awaited surgery. Percocet has Tylenol, Percodan has aspirin and these are just oxycodone!!
Hydrocodone is the generic for vicodin. Works just as good, and cheaper.
the oxy 15 is stronger. the 650 you see is only acetaminophen which is only Tylenol. acetaminophen increases the effect of oxycodone so if you want just take a Tylenol with the oxycodone 15. However, depending on the pain, the one containing acetaminphen could be more beneficial for things having to do with nerves or inflamation.
Yes, much more so.
