The prognosis following an overdose of Ambien and Klonopin is good, but the patient may experience some impairment in thinking and judgment.
yes you can overdose and die on that much. that will kill you.
You will die man
Depends on the size of the dose. Most likely yes it is overdose
best thing to do is call your physician. Ambien only comes in 5mg and 10mg, i believe this was a typo. unless you mean you are taking many ambien's at one time. Yes. the ambien I take is 10 mg. Still cannot sleep. A klonopin would relax me. I do not want to call a doctor, I am really tired of trying to rest, with no help. **** where will you get the meds if you don't see a doctor ? 4 mg of Klonopin is a LOT to start with. I took 5 ambien , .5 Klonopin & 300 Seroquel XR, it knocked me out for 12 hours.
The recommended dose for Ambien CR is 12.5mg - 100mg is way too high!
If you take them in their rx'd doses, it shouldn't cause an 'overdose', but if you take the entire bottle of each (a 30 day supply), more than likely you'll end up in the ER (but not dead). If your dr has ok'd it, just take it as perscribed, though a side effect from the first 4 can be drowsiness.
in order to die from it, you have to have blood toxicity, which is a LOT of pills. there are no recorded cases of ambien overdose as a cause of death. bear in mind- "everything in moderation" though.
I asked my doc the same question today. I'm NOT sure about klonopin, I don't take that drug. My doctor said that taking ambien (zolpidem) together with ativan (lorazepam) is safe, since it functions on different receptors in the brain. So there shouldn't be a synnergic effect.
Z-type drugs like Ambien, Sonata & Lunesta and benzodiazepines like valium and Xanax are generally far safer in overdose (by themselves) compared to older sedatives like Seconal, chloral hydrate. When people die of an overdose of Ambien there are usually other drugs present. Case reports of Alcohol, Soma, valium as combinations. People have gone into a coma with as few as 20 10mg pills & died with 90-300 Ambien overdoses can be easily reversed with IV flumazenil.
Yes, an overdose of Ambien (zolpidem) and over-the-counter (OTC) sleeping pills can potentially cause brain damage. High doses can lead to severe respiratory depression, loss of consciousness, and increased risk of accidents, which may result in hypoxia (lack of oxygen to the brain). Chronic misuse or overdose can also lead to cognitive impairment and other neurological issues. It’s crucial to use these medications as prescribed and seek immediate medical attention in case of overdose.
Yes a klonopin can be taken the day before a colonoscopy so long as it has been prescribed by a doctor. Klonopin is used to treat anxiety.
It stands a good chance of putting you in a coma - death. Your respiratory rate will slow until you stop breathing or your heart stops beating.
