This would be a low dose, considering seroquel comes in the lowest dose of 25mg. I don't know how this would be dispensed? or if it even exists as something that would be prescripbed. I think you may mean 50mg.
You shouldn't have to taper off of 25mg of Seroquel... it's a VERY low dosage, but if you are using it for sleep and have trouble sleeping when you stop taking it, try cutting it in half and fourths until you don't need it anymore.
according to the manufacturers.....NO. http://www.medicines.ie/medicine/7911/PIL/Seroquel+Tablets+25mg%2c+100mg%2c+200mg+and+300mg/ See Section 2, Page 1 of the manufacturers PIL ( patient information leaflet )
They do not test for seroquel. I take 400 mg. A urine test is for benz, barbituates, cocaine, amphetamine, weed, opiate and creatinine (mainly to detect if someone used a cleansing drink.
If a doctor prescribes you both, yes. If not, consult your doctor before taking both
At so low doses, seroquel acts like a anti-histaminic drug. 25 mg of quetiapine (seroquel) blocks at 98% histamine receptor. It cause a strong sedation. Is almost prescribed for resistant insomnia, when zolpidem (ambien), zopiclone (lunesta), zaleplon (sonata) is not working. Or when insomnia is chronic, to avoid tolerance and addiction.
