After waxing any part of body do not shower or get hot, sweat, tan or use harsh products for 24-48 hours. This prevents any bacteria or irritants from absorbing through sensitive skin. First 1-4 days wash with mild cleanser- no antibacterial-, pat dry, and using a hydracortisone cream will help itching or sensitivity. 1 week -4th week- After inital stage of sensitivity, its back to normal for your skin. To prevent INGROWN hairs, best to exfoliate. That is literally to scrub your self like no tommorrow. Keeping dead skin from sticking arround will help that new hair to come back in with no problem. Scrub with a back scrubber, but i find that is not coarse enough. I find mixing 3/4 salt and 1/4 olive oil works best of all. But some products such as lotions with glycolic acid work well also. The stronger the percentage the more effective. I would recomend 20-30 percent. You can also use the lotion on all parts of body to keep dead skin under control while moisturizing. M.D. Formulations makes a great lotion called hand and body lotion and your doctor can precribe something stronger by m.d. forte if needed. A company that has an award winning skin soother for after waxing is GUNOIT- called epil comfort. I used it for years on my clients. It automaticly soothes skin, and also when used daily will help reduce hair growth too.
