i just had it done few days ago and i opted for a local anesthetic. I have to say that the procedure was not painless and surgeon had to top up anesthetic few times when i said it was painful ! but i already felt pain... Im not sure if he just didn't applied enough anesthetic from the beginning or what...this procedure is more difficult as the anesthetic has to be applied along the vain so you get many injections and it felt like anesthetic just didn't get deep enough....well it hurt..... Well, i will go for the general next time
