Why do you keep getting chlamydia after two lots of antibiotics?

If your symptoms did not disappear after chlamydia treatment, you should contact your health care provider. You could have an additional infection, or could have a complicated cause requiring longer treatment.

You could have itching after chlamydia treatment because you have another infection, such as yeast or trichomoniasis. Or you could be continuing to recover from the infection. Also, you could have some other skin condition that's causing itching. Contact your health care provider for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

It's not likely that you still have chlamydia if you took the proper treatment as prescribed. If you're still having symptoms, contact your health care provider. If you were tested immediately after treatment, you've made an error -- the test will remain positive for four to six weeks after treatment.
