Why is weed illegal but alcohol is not?

a)Because the government make so much tax revenue from alcohol and tobacco, illegalising it would hurt their poket too much.

b)Because a lot of illegal drugs change your perception of thinking and open your eyes to the real world - the government don't want this, they want you to work and pay tax until you're 65 then die. Alcohol is a depressant so it helps to keep the little people in check as oranised religion has done for many years.

c)And lastly; because most of the govenments of western countries control the illegal drugs trade from the top. They'll make much more money out of it if's contraband, so they have no interest in making it legal.

To sum up, the reason is MONEY.

It isn't, alcohol IS a drug. However, alcohol is the only drug (aside from caffeine) that are considered socially acceptable.

Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant with significant psychoactive effects, and it is one of the oldest recreational drugs used (people were drinking beer even roughly 6,000 years ago or more)
