Because just like (almost) every pill you take doesn't last you for a whole day (12 - 24 hrs). It also depends upon your tolerance level...how long have you been taking it, etc. If it's the first time in your life that you've taken it then it'll last a lot longer (probably) then someone who has taken it for months, years, etc.

Answer: If you are taking Lorivan for severe anxiety, I wouldn't recommend taking it with Adderall. The way I see it is this: If Adderall makes you focus more than you'd be more inclined to feeling anxious, since you would be concentrating more. It also has the tendency to increase your heartrate. However if your doctor has prescribed you both of these and you have discussed with him/her the risks and benefits already then it is safe to assume it is alright to take both.
