Risperidone (brand name Risperdal) may be prescribed for a child to treat conditions such as schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, irritability associated with autism, and other behavioral disorders. It is an atypical antipsychotic medication that helps to stabilize mood, reduce hallucinations and delusions, and improve overall behavior. The decision to prescribe Risperdal for a child is typically made after a thorough evaluation by a healthcare provider, weighing the potential benefits against the risks and considering other treatment options.
Risperdal doesn't show up as anything because no one tests for it. And since you can't get high on it, if you haven't been prescribed Risperdal don't take any.
Yes if you are not allergic to either medicine than they are safe to take as prescribed together.
The most I have seen prescribed was 1600mg, and that is considered to be rather excessive.
Risperdal doesn't cause diabetes - it's a separate thing.
I would not recommend this combination, since it does have an increased risk of hypertensive effects. However, it is possible that a low dosage of each would be prescribed to treat different symptoms (social phobia / ADHD). I have never seen this combination prescribed before though.

You need to consult your doctor first of all but I will definitely suggest weaning off of any med but specifically risperdal. Considering that Risperdal is usually prescribed for serious diagnosis I would again say put your doctor on the phone :)
As it was prescribed for my 17 month old child, yesterday, (2010.) I would hope that the answer is Yes.
