Will marijuana be legal

I believe the only ways to legalize marijuana is to move to California, Oklahoma, or any other state that has legalized it. The second i feel is to turn it into an herb. i feel that if it is cooked than it is considered a herb which is ingested as food.

The government does not want to legalize pot because it is a resource that is readily available, most people who smoke pot love it, its a plant, nothing more...nothing is added. if you grew a marijuana plant and smoked it you would get high. its that easy... right now marijuana as medicinal use is a 7 billion dollar industry just in California, imagine the whole US. that's why they don't want it to be legal. imagine the worst weed in the world will still sell for 200$ a pound, and the best weed in the world may sell for 5-7 thousand a pound. imagine growing 20 plants and harvesting 15 pounds of marijuana buds(the flower of the plant) off them. say you sold it for 1500 a pound. that's 22,500$ from growing 20 plants that are in the ground! that is why the government does not want to legalize pot. your generating money from nothing... If the government hates marijuana so much and locked up 775,000 people on charges last year. THEN TELL ME WHY THE Declaration of Independence IS WRITTEN ON CANNABIS HEMP PAPER???? thank you!

No, there isn't anywhere in the world where marijuana is completely legal for sale, transport and use. However, there are some places (including many US states) where it is partially for fully decriminalized for personal possession. Also, some countries and US states have allowed for THC, the active chemical in marijuana, to be administered as a drug by prescription.

It's not clear that marijuana is harmful in the same way that most other drugs are, and frankly it costs a lot to enforce anti-marijuana laws.

There are some potential medical benefits of marijuana also (though it's not well studied, it's almost certainly not the "wonder drug" that advocates tend to claim, and it's a reasonable bet that if it didn't get people high, most of the interest in its "medicinal" properties would evaporate).

In many ways it makes a great deal of sense to treat it in a similar way as alcohol and tobacco (regulated and potentially taxed) as opposed to treating it like, say, crack cocaine (strictly illegal).

I think marijuana should be legalized. I would rather be in a room with a person who was high on marijuana than a person that is drunk on alcohol any day of the week
