It depends on what sort of test you're taking. Antibiotics do not block drug tests, for example. Please be more specific in your question.
Bladder infections can spread into your kidneys and then into the blodd stream so they were probably checking to see how far it had progressed. I dont know if you understood my question, i know why they took the urine and blood samples. But i dont understand why a pregnancy urine test would say positive 3 times, pregnancy blood test say negative twice, and then another urine test done 6 hrs after being administered antibiotics come out negative. What was with that first urine test saying positive?
No, antibiotics will not effect the result of a blood test, but you should always inform the person performing the test what antibiotics you are taking.
To a certain extent yes.The post antibiotics Widal Test will have Low titers of agglutinins.Hence the test may be reported as False Negative.
Chlamydia is a curable infection. Unless your partner was tested in the brief amount of time before they could test positive for the bacteria, it is unlikely you would reinfect them.
You generally do not need to wait after taking antibiotics to have a smear test. Antibiotics do not affect the results of the test. However, if you were prescribed antibiotics for a specific infection affecting the genital area, it may be wise to consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice. Always follow your doctor's recommendations regarding timing for any medical tests.
6 weeks following completion of ABX
o it will not help in making the pregnancy test negative in anyway.
Urinating within hours of the urine or swab test, not using the first urine that comes out, or inadequate swabbing can all cause a false negative chlamydia test. In addition, testing too soon after exposure, or recent exposure to partially effective antibiotics could cause a negative test that would be positive within a couple of more weeks.
Antibiotics are a weird class of drugs to be asking about in the drug testing context, because I can't really think of a reason someone would test for them. You can't get high on antibiotics. Home Depot has a policy that if you show up positive for unprescribed prescription drugs you'll be terminated, but they don't test for antibiotics--they're looking for people who are taking pain pills, tranquilizers and other recreational drugs. Antibiotics? Not likely.
It should do because antibiotics and hormones are not the same thing. Having said that, I would leave it until you are off the antibiotics
No. But Antibiotics are known culprits to decrease the effectiveness of birth control pill. Because of this you need to rule out pregnancy and see your doctor for a blood test.
No. Taking the test too soon causes false negative.
