What is the interaction with glimepiride and levaquin?

Glimepiride is an oral medication used to manage diabetes, while Levaquin (levofloxacin) is an antibiotic. There are no significant direct interactions between glimepiride and Levaquin. However, it's important for patients to monitor their blood sugar levels closely, as Levaquin may occasionally affect glucose levels, potentially leading to hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia in individuals taking glimepiride. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting new medications.

Do you put tanning lotion on before you get in the tanning bed or after?

Before, definitely!

How long before an indoor tanning session should I apply lotion?

This is a very popular question and I'll explain why it's better to apply indoor tanning lotions before tanning. Most indoor tanning lotions have some type of moisturizer in them. Moisturizers help protect your skin because they keep moisture inside your skin that would generally be lost due to the excessive heat inside the tanning bed. Applying lotions before entering the tanning bed at least 15 minutes before tanning allows those moisturizers and vitamins like vitamin E enough time to soak into your skin. If you apply tanning lotion right before entering the tanning bed your skin may not have enough time to soak up all of the moisturizers and UV protection before tanning which can have adverse effects on your skin.

Will tanning in a standup tanning bed harm the unborn baby?

No--tanning in a stand up bed is actually less harmful to a baby when you compare it to tanning in a lay down bed. Make sure to get a doctors consent before tanning in a bed while pregnant though.

Im going tanning should you shave before you go?

It is not a requirement to shave before you go tanning because the light rays will move past the hairs. You will get the same tanning results if you shave or do not shave.

What vitamins help with Levaquin withdrawal?

You may have some relief by taking magnesium and vitamin E supplements. Best to take them while you are taking the Levaquin, though. This is based on some in-vitro and animal research, which found reduced tendon damage from Levaquin when magnesium and vitamin E (tocopherol) were supplied. It's less likely to help after you finish the Levaquin, but maybe worth a try. I don't know of anything for neurological damage, or any research on this for humans. Note that you should not take magnesium supplements two hours before or after taking Levaquin, since it reduces the antibiotic effectiveness of the drug.

Can you tan in a tanning bed without tanning lotion?

I would not recommend it. I have done it before and burned quite badly. I would ask an attendant before getting in without lotion on.
