To get the ball rolling on my question, I know of two other Native names that have been used for naming transport: Chinook helicopter and the Winnebago motor home. But this blatant disrespect of Native Tribal names is not exclusive to transport; the insult has been extended to several makes of tents. (Tesco Direct Spring/Summer 2008 catalogue pgs 75-77).

Lichfield Apache 3 person tent
Lichfield Apache 4 person dome tent
Lichfield Cherokee 4 person tent
Lichfield Cheyenne 5 person tent
Lichfield Arapaho DLX 6 person tent
Lichfield Comanche 8 person tent
It beggars belief how these manufacturing companies see nothing wrong with denigrating the names of Native Tribes. Evidently, stealing their country wasn't enough. This is a classic case of adding insult to injury.
To effectively transport two boats and a helicopter to their destination, you can use a specialized transport company that has the necessary equipment and expertise. They can arrange for the boats to be loaded onto a flatbed trailer or a cargo ship, while the helicopter can be disassembled and transported in a specialized container. Make sure to secure all items properly to prevent damage during transit.
Roman engineering helped overcome the challenges of urbanization and infrastructure development in ancient Rome. By creating advanced systems like aqueducts for water supply, roads for transport, and monumental buildings, they facilitated efficient movement of goods and people. This engineering prowess enabled the growth of cities, improved public health, and supported the vast Roman Empire's administration and military logistics. Ultimately, it laid the groundwork for modern engineering principles and urban planning.
The U.S. Army's main transport was the UH-1 Huey (officially the "Iriquois"), models B thru H. We used the AH-1G Cobra as a gunship, an armed escort in the later years, along with some UH-1Bs and Cs, converted transport models. My recollection is that there were some "Mike" models (UH-1M) entering the inventory in the later years, too. In the scout function, the inimitable OH-6 "Loach" (officially the "Cayuse", but universally THE Loach, from LOH- Light Observation Helicopter) and the OH-58, the military version of the ubiquitous Bell Jet Ranger. The Army also had some CH-54 Skycranes as the big vertical lift machines. Earlier in the war, the Army used piston-engined H-34s and H-21s as transports, and Oh-13s and OH-23s in the scout role. I believe there was some attempt to use the CH-37 as a transport, but there were very, very few of them. The Air Force, Navy and Marines also used helicopters. Each of these services had variants of the Huey. The Air Force also had: the H-43 Husky; the HH/CH-3; and the HH-53. These last two were the big Sikorskies, famous as the "Jolly Green Giant" and "Super Jollys", which Navy also used. The Marines added to the following to the list: the H-34, most famously the D model, the "Dog"; and the H-46, both also used by the Navy. Yes, they were,
As Britain is separated by the English Channel and the North Sea from the rest of Europe, goods had to travel by ship before the invention of aeroplanes. However, most companies would not have owned their own ships, they would have hired space on commercial boats.
England (Britain) is an island, so before invention of aircraft a natural way of transporting goods and people was navigation, sea transportation.
The helicopter was first used as a troop transport.
Yes, the word 'helicopter' is a noun, a singular, common, concrete noun; a word for a type of aircraft, a thing. The word helicopter is also a verb; to travel or transport by helicopter.
The helicopters were called "Hueys".
It's an upgraded version of the Russian Mi-8 transport/ assault helicopter, known as the Hip (to NATO).
Federation of Norwegian Transport Companies was created in 1929.
