Be that as it may I would put forward my answer for your consideration. From a religious point of view God is able to do anything with the material that is available to Him. This earth contains all of the material necessary to form man. Adam was formed from the dust of the earth as was his wife Eve. Though scripture tells us that it was from one of Adams ribs she was formed. This however is only figurative to mean that she will stand by his side in all things. To this reader God can do anything providing He has the material to work with. After Adam and Eve were formed the normal way of procreating took place. You may have in mind the theory of evolution, but to this reader such a start of the human race is not logical.
