Christians can travel to jerusalem freely in peace.
Saint Paul was traveling throughout the mideast when he was persecuting the Christians. It was on the Damascus road where he was supposed to have had his miraculous conversion. At that time he was not known as Paul, but was known as Saul.
The main effect of the Roman Empire on Christianity, as recorded in the Bible, was Pontius Pilate's acquiesence to the crucifixion of Jesus. After this, the Empire seems to have preferred to ignore the Christians, whom they regarded for much of the first century as merely a sect of Judaism. There is little evidence of any official persecution of Christians during this century. Even in the third century, Origen, an early Church Father, stated that there were not many Christians who had been martyred and they could easily be counted. Nevertheless, a disputed quote attributed to the Roman historian Tacitus says that Nero blamed the Christians who lived in Rome for the Great Fire and had many arrested and convicted "not so much for the crime of arson as for their hatred of the human race." Apart from this, there is no evidence that Nero persecuted the Christians, and no such claim was made by the Church until some centuries later. On the positive side, the ease with which missionaries could travel around the empire certainly facilitated their work.
The first Christian missionaries to travel up the Volga into the land of the Rus, what would become Russia, were Greek Orthodox priests. The man now known as Saint Cyril was one of them. He invented the Cyrilic alphabet, basing it on the Greek alphabet and adding letters from both the Roman and Hebrew alphabets to make the sounds needed for the Slavic languages, and then he translated the Bible into what we now call Old Church Slavonic. That was the foundation for Russian literature, and the foundation of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The political rulers of England and France called Christians to travel to the Holy lands in the Middle East. However, it was not to fight the enemies of the church because the holy lands were under control of Muslims and Muslims were not enemies of the church. It was the opposite. There were very good relations between Muslim leaders and Christian leaders. the holy lands were not only for Christians but also for Muslims. The full rights were secured for all Christians to practice their worships with no limitations. The fights against Muslims in the Middle East at that time, which was known as the Crusaders wars, were for political reasons and never were for religious reasons.
As we know, before Jesus was born, Jews used to live in the land of Israel.. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, a church was built there..name Al mahd representing the birth of Jesus..In nazareth there's another church called Albishara..where Mariam, the mother of Jesus, was notified of the birth of Jesus..in Jerusalem there's the Alqiyama church..where Jesus was taken by the Jews and was crucified..and rose from the dead after the third day :) IT IS THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTIANS ;)

Some whales travel in packs called a pod of whales, to prevent enemies like sharks from attacking. Strength in numbers.
