Depends on the severity of the Depression, if you are currently under psychiatric care and or on medications. If you are then you are not eligible for enlistment at that time, you will need a release for service clearing you from that counselor stating that you are no longer depressed and require treatment and or that issue has been resolved, you will also need to be off you medications for more than 30 days which only a psychiatrists can determine is right for you. Keep in mind you can not go to Basic Training/Boot Camp while dependant upon medication, we do not want to send someone to Basic Training/Boot Camp with an issue in which can cause harm to yourself or others. Once you get through MEPS you will probably be required to go on a consult to talk to a Military Therapist to determine your eligibility.
