Yes, it is likely. The fact that the ship was turned starboard in a vain attempt to avoid the iceburg caused the metal on the side of the ship to be scraped deeply. This caused water to fill up far more compartments than would have likely filled up if the Titanic had hit the iceburg head on.
The Titanic may have still sunk in this instance, we can never be sure, but far more time would have been allotted for the passengers of the Titanic in order for rescue to come.
Thomas Andrews designed the Titanic. He was the head of the Harland and Wolff design department. He never built anything in his life as said in his biography. He had a love for designing. White Star Line built the Titanic in Belfast, United Kingdom. The Titanic was the largest passenger steamship in the world.xNicolaaaaarrr
Yes, it is possible.
A wolf's head was a person who was pronounced criminal and anyone could kill him.
they liked it and they could
What do you mean "a cattle head?" Are you trying to say "head of cattle"? If you are, one head of cattle is just a way of counting the number of "heads" or cattle in a herd. One head = 1 cow or cattlebeast or animal or whatever you want to call them. However, if you're asking what is a cattle head, then here's the answer as far as I can answer it: a cattle head could be one to two things--a head of a prized cow, steer or bull that is mounted on the wall after its counterpart passed on, particularly if this head is of a Texas Longhorn that had an amazingly large rack. The second thing could be what I mentioned above.
Yes,because the iceburg still would have a gash in/on it
I don't really know but if you would like to believe it, go head, I will stand by you
No
After departing Southampton, the Titanic headed to Cherbourg, France.
It is believed that had the Titanic hit the iceberg head on that it would have avoided the sinking. There is also another theory that it would have made it if they had not reversed the engines which caused it to slow down and made the turn harder to make.
the iceberg opened the front 5 compartments and these compartmants start to flood.this made titanic tilt and sank head first.
Harlond and wolff
The crew tried to avoid the iceberg entirely, but ships of that size can't make quick course changes. At the speed they were travelling, and at the distance the iceberg was spotted at, all they managed to do was to turn a head-on collision into a sideswipe.AnswerThe Titanic did not hit head on because the boat crew knew that the Titanic was designed to hit boats head on, but not icebergs; the iceberg was many times bigger then the titanic. The crew took evasive action. The size of the iceberg was so enormous that almost all experts in engineering agree that the force of a head on collision would have been so great the Titanic would have sunk within minuets instead of two hours. The force would have a rippling effect and would have traveled from the tip of the ship all across its bulkhead breaking rivets from bow to stern causing catostophic damage killing many more people then it did. I got no bae at least for todday! ;)
It can survive its head cut off
the reason the Titanic struck the iceberg (in my opinion) is because Bruce Ismay instructed for the captain to speed up because he thought that if he arrived at new york earlier than everyone would be surprised and he would break records and win an award, so when the lookout spotted the iceberg it was to late...
bulk head did not go to the deck head
Yes It is possible, but extremely rare, to survive a gunshot wound to the head.
