It depends on what country the teenagers were in. In the more advanced countries, teenage boys awaited (with individual variance of emotion) the day when they would be old enough to fight. In the less advanced countries, teenage boys, and teenage girls, and some even younger than teenagers, were already fighting.

it was very scary we had to hide in underground passages and we had no food. I missed my farther so much but he was one of the people that survived the war! My mother was a nurse on the battle field but sadly when she was helping some one shot got shot in the chest and couldn't recover

There was only one reason that America became involved in World War II and that was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour on 7th December 1941. If that attack hadn't happened, the US would probably not have become involved because US public opinion at the time was that the existing fighting was a 'European War' and nothing to do with America.

The colonial experiences with Great Britain left citizens fearful of centralized authority. This is because the colonial experiences such as being over taxed and completely controlled by a monarchy of Great Britain made citizens fearful of the same thing happening again to them in America.

Not only did other countries start to want independance from Great Britain,but America now owed lots of money to France. Though there was a period of prosperity, with the entire world at peace. Also the war reviled to Great Britain all of their militarily weaknesses.

The New World was the first term the was used. Then, as colonies began to grow, the three sections of the territories became known as the New England Colonies; The Middle Colonies; and the Southern Colonies. As time passed, the name America, was used to describe the colonies. Then, the United States of America, after independence was won from England, when the American Revolutionary War was over and done.
