Over the next 20 years he became one of the preeminent American goldsmiths ( this term is used for a person who worked in every phase of precious metals in the 18th century) He did bowls, utensils, pots, flatware, engravings pictures, Cartoons, calling cards, tradesman's bills, and music. As a sideline he practiced as a dentist.
