The main Prime Minister and driving force during World War II was Winston Churchill. However, when war was declared in September 1939, Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister. He was replaced by Winston Churchill in May 1940 and in the election of 1945, just before the European war ended, he was unbelievably beaten at the polls by his deputy, Clement Attlee.
Synonymous with save Great Britain first. Winston Churchill was deathly afraid that the Amerian people would want to defeat Japan first, as Americans wanted revenge for the Pearl Harbor attack. Churchill lobbied hard with FDR to obtain his promise that Germany would be defeated first. Churchill got his wish.
Churchill had a unique and sincere way of expressing powerful emotions and getting people's spirits up in adversity. He was possibly the best leader Britain could have had in wartime. To me personally, Churchill will always be epitomised by the British Bulldog, - fearless, tenacious, ruthless, a terrible enemy, - but a friend you'd want at your back in a fight.

Winston Churchill wanted the defendants of the Nuremberg trials to be executed without a trial or due process. He believed that those responsible for the atrocities committed during World War II deserved the ultimate punishment without delay.
Winston did not want to attack Germany. He was more for peace on the Earth. It was heard of to stop some of the consentration camps but never wanted to attack.

Churchill was not a particularly happy child, he had an independent and rebellious nature and did poor in school. He hated school and he didn't want to go. He was often bullied too.
Hitler did want to commit suicide because hsi plans went wrong and he didn't want to live through Winston Churchill declaring victory to the Allies.

After the early death of his father at age 45, Churchill believed that he too would die young. Fueling his desire to make his mark on the world, and to be quick about it. With such a conviction, Churchill naturally would have leapt at any opportunity to make that mark. Fate granted him two chances to be the British Prime Minister (president). In 1940, and later in 1951, both of which he accepted.
