To my best knowledge: No!
I have never heard this. It was an entirely Japanese operation.
I watched a show today that stated Hitler did know in advance about the attack on Pearl Harbour. In fact he made a speech that was given deliberately a few hours after the attack to the Nazi Party, just so it could be heard by the US and Japan. In his speech Hitler declared war on the US, the first time he declared war on a country he had not yet invaded.
Yes, the code was already broken right before the attack on Pearl Harbor even started. President Roosevelt already knew about the Japanese was going to attack Pearl Harbor, but he didn't know for sure if it was true. The attack on pearl harbor had a profound effect on the American people. Before this Roosevelt was looking for ways to aide the allied powers without angering the isolationists. The Pearl Harbor attack created an overwhelming sence of nationalism comparable to the aftermath of 9/11. Most people supported the idea of going to war with Japan after the attack.
The United States Navy Commanders and Roosevelt felt they would attack elsewhere such at the Philippines, Midway or the west coast. Therefore Pearl Harbor had their guard down. The Commanding officer of the Pearl Harbor base and fleet lost his command due to his failure to have the sailors ready for action at all times. Roosevelt was in the middle of negotiations with a Japanese official at the time of the attack. Radio messages and warnings went unheeded so Pearl Harbor was descimated due to failures on the part of communications officers.
The December 7, 1941, attack by the Japanese upon Pearl Harbor was a great surprise for primarily one reason: the Americans expected a Japanese attack to happen much farther west or south in the Pacific region. General hostilities had long been expected, but no one foresaw that the Japanese would dare to venture so far eastwards in order to start a war. The strict secrecy in which the attack was wrapped by the Japanese was yet another key factor.
it was when the japines suprised attack by going the other way around the world and thats how they dropt a bomb on pearl Harbor so the usa drop a H-bomb on the japenise or reveng and braking there reaty
the Japanese didn't talk on there radios.

The Japanese Army was happy with the various attacks on the British, Dutch & Americans (including the Pearl Harbor attack). The Japanese Army was the main force behind the idea of going to war with Britain & the US.
They intercepted a mesage from Japan to its naval fleet.
Yes, the attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack. The nation of Japan was going to tell America that it was coming but the Japanese man typing the message was having problems with the English language. NO DIP SHERLOCK!

WWII had been going on in the Pacific for 4 years and in Europe for 2 years before the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. This marked the US entry into the war. The US government had reason to believe that the Japanese might attack US interests in the Pacific at some point, but because of the distance between the Japanese islands and Hawaii, they did not expect an attack at Pearl Harbor.

Because they knew that America was going to get involved in the war at that point, and, as they were allied with the Japanese, they knew it wouldn't be on Germany's side.
