Harbour Bridge joined the city of Sydney (at Dawes Point) to the North Shore (at Milsons Point) obviating the need to travel by ferry or make a substantial trip around the harbour foreshores towards Parramatta and back. The two reasons are 1. It was build to eliminate / minimize the usage of Ferry that existed between Sydney and North Shore. To save time. 2. To connect and places through road and to help the tourists and to cater the economic and cultural growth of the economy.
