I looked this up and found out the answer is "maybe". The reason I write maybe is that carrots were grown and eaten in the Middle East and a secondary area of Turkey is given. Since Turkey is near to Greece I am going to take a guess that through trade and other factors that Greece probably did have carrots. The carrots were purple and yellow in color and first showed up in the pre 900's in Afghanistan and by the 1100's they had reached Spain. Nothing mentions Greece, but again it is within reason to think that they may have gotten them.
