In 1895, at the end of the Victorian age, the first British four-wheeled car is produced by Frederick Lanchester (1868-1946). In the same year, Herbert Austin (1866-1941) designs a three-wheeled car that is then built by the Wolseley Sheep-Shearing Company in Birmingham.
