For the most part, yes. However, like other minorities, they are less likely than White Protestants to become the President of the United States (or to be admitted to certain country clubs). By and large Anti-Semitism does not play a role in workplace discrimination (although it can be present in rare circumstances).

Currently, most Anti-Semitism in the United States manifests in strong Anti-Zionism from parts of the population that moves beyond criticism of Israel's policies to arguments against the validity of Jewish Statehood. Since Anti-Zionism is primarily targeted at Israelis, Israeli-Americans suffer some discrimination from this, but since most American Jews are not Israelis, they are generally spared the vitriol, though there are sometimes hate crimes such as personal attacks and arson against synagogues.

If you had asked this question before the 1950s and 1960s, then you would see distinct discrimination against American Jews. Prestigious Universities had quotas of Jews (i.e. limits on how many Jews could be accepted). The entire idea of making Law a graduate program (as opposed to an undergraduate program like in most countries) was to prevent Jews and Blacks from becoming lawyers. Workplace discrimination was commonplace. It was also legal for covenants to be put in land deeds to prevent the occupant of a building from being a Jew.

What were the Jews doing to liberate themselves during the Holocaust?

The Jews were (overwhelmingly) unarmed civilians ... They were in no position to stop the Holocaust or 'liberate themselves'. When they did resist, as in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, it was out of desperation rather than anything else. Please see the related questions for further information.

Why did blacks hate Jews?

they don't. probably a minority do. I know some black jewish people. There are some Blacks who hate Jews, usually as a result of the teachings of Nation of Islam (which is a distinct religion from Sunni or Shiite Islam) or because of the teachings of certain sects of Baptist Christianity. Both of these particular religions teach that Jews are demonic. Other Blacks who hate Jews come from Black Israelite Churches who see Jews as imposters and themselves as the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Finally, some Blacks associate Jews with the White Elite in the United States and other countries that have traditionally kept Blacks in a position of inferiority. While there certainly were Jews in support of racist institutions, Jews have supported African-Americans through the Civil Rights Movement and have actively worked together with African-American communities as a fellow minority in America.

How were identified the Jews in world war 2?

Jews were identified by membership in a synagogue. In Europe the government keeps a record of population by religion. That also identified Jews. Also, males were identified by checking to see if their penis had been circumcised. (Jews and Muslims circumcise their sons. Americans started circumcising when Jews had far fewer infections from trench warfare in The Civil War and World War 1. Europeans refused to learn from the Jews.)

Why do Hebrew-Israelite Jews in America call themselves African-Americans?

Answer 1They don't. Jews do not identify as African-American, usually because they are Caucasian or Middle Eastern in complexion and originally of Middle-Eastern heritage (not African). When people refer to "Hebrew-Israelite Jews", they are referring to the Black Israelite Churches which are a Christian religion. See Answer 2, which discusses the views of this group.Answer 2According to the Black Israelite Churches, Ashkenazi, Khazars, and Sefardi Jews are not the true Jews they are Gentiles, and Edomites (descendants of Japeth, & Esau of the Bible), and they call themselves Jewish because they are not the original Jews. The Tribe of Judah Hebrew-Israelites are in fact the so-called African-Americans of today. The other Jews are the Tribe of Benjamin who are the Caribbeans such as Jamaicans, and Trinidadians, etc. All true Jews are in fact descendants of the Slaves during the Trans-Atlantic slave Ttade, not the Europeans that converted to the Jewish by religion which is why they don't call themselves Jews, but call themselves Jewish.[Comments Removed to Discussion Section]

No, Native Americans are from tribes like the Cherokees and other tribes. They originated in America. Indians are from the country India, and are a whole other group of people from the Native Americans. The reason why Native Americans are sometimes referred to as Indians is because, when Christopher Columbus was sailing to India, he accidentally ended up in North America where he called all the Native Americans, Indians.
