There is still a little bit of radiation. Just after the war, people were still dying from radiation. The bombs they used were very powerful and used a considerable amount of radiation. Even five years after the war, the radiation was so heavy that your chances of getting cancer was raised by thirty percent. I'm not sure if there is radiation in the SOIL, but there may be some still around.
