Historians do not know Jane Seymour's birthdate, but suggest it is anywhere between 1504 - 1509. She was the second wife of Henry VIII, they married in 1536 and she gave birth to their son, Edward (later Edward VI) in 1537, but Jane died shortly afterwards. When Henry VIII died, he asked to be laid to rest next to Jane Seymour in the chapel at Windsor Castle. She was the only one of his six wives to give him the thing he most wanted - a male heir.
