In the voyages of the Spanish, they became very wealthy. The cause of part of there wealth was when Pizarro a Spanish explorer came upon the Incas. He found there leader Atahualpo, and captured him after killing all his men. to be free and to protect his people (the Incas) he offered Pizarro a room full of gold and silver. after accepting the bargain he still ran charges against Atahualpo, for stirring up a rebellion. they then said that Atahualpo was to be burned at a stake. He refused, he only wanted to die by strangulation. that is how the Spanish became wealthy throughout these voyages.
