General Douglas MacArthur's strategy for winning the Korean War primarily involved a combination of bold offensive maneuvers and amphibious operations. His most notable tactic was the surprise Inchon Landing in September 1950, which aimed to cut off North Korean supply lines and recapture Seoul. MacArthur emphasized rapid advances to exploit enemy weaknesses and sought to push North Korean forces out of South Korea entirely. However, his approach eventually led to overextension and confrontation with Chinese forces as the war progressed.
Probably because Stalin backed the north.
A general leads the NORTH Korean army & a general leads the SOUTH Korean army. The names of those generals change, just as they do in every army. There are two Koreas.
If President Truman had followed General MacArthur's advice during the Korean War and expanded the conflict into China, it could have escalated into a larger war, potentially involving the Soviet Union. This might have led to a direct confrontation between nuclear powers, increasing the risk of a catastrophic global conflict. Additionally, it could have undermined U.S. efforts to contain communism through diplomatic means, leading to greater instability in Asia. Overall, such a decision could have severely altered the course of the Cold War and U.S. foreign policy.

MacArthurs' advance toward the Yalu River caused China to intervene, thus causing the UN forces to fall back in disarray
Expand the war into China.
MacArthur's first name is Douglas. He was a prominent American general during World War II and played a significant role in the Pacific theater. MacArthur is also known for his leadership during the Korean War and his post-war administration in Japan.
It was seen as a threat by the Chinese, causing them to invade Korea to repel the Americans. In response to this invasion MacArthur requested approval to use nuclear weapons and Truman fired him and replaced him with Ridgway.
General Douglas MacArthur underestimated the Chinese decision to counter attack when he came too near the North Korean Chinese border. He felt we should attack China with atomic bombs and start WW III over the Korean War. He felt he could tell President Harry S. Truman what to do, and showed disrespect to the Commander-In-Chief (President Truman). He was fired, and replaced with another Allied United Nations General and the war ended in a stalemate. Nobody wanted to start World War 3, with nuclear weapons, because of the Korean War. It was the correct decision to replace General MacArthur, as starting WW III would have been a horrible mistake.
Probably because Stalin backed the north.
