He had Hitler invading Russia and needed help.
They were allies and were suppose to help eachother but they didnt help Stalin when needed so he resent them.
yall are no fkn help!
When hittler did that, Russia/USSR/Soviet Union went to the allies side to fight with USA and England/United Kingdom. With the help of Russia, the allies were able to defeat Germany.
Just the opposite, Stalin doublecrossed Hitler. Both agreed to simultaneously invade Poland as agreed upon in Moscow in 1939. When the appointed time came Stalin held back his army. Germany was forced to take on Poland by itself, weakening its position and drawing the ire of the Western allies. Stalin was very clever and Hitler a bit naive. The attack on The USSR in 1941 by Germany may have appeared suicidal but in fact Hitler really had no choice. He was unable to knock out England in 1940, Germany grew weaker fighting England and knew inevitably the USA would come to their aid. He knew he could not trust Stalin again and before he could build up the Red Army into a powerful threat to attack Germany, Hitler preemptively attacked. It was a long shot gamble, and it failed. In reality the war was already decided in 1939 with Stalin's doublecross of Hitler.

He was paranoid so he wanted support from other countries. He helped Hitler by not invading Europe like they agreed when they first started being allies
Stalin did not needed Hitler for help. They were not allies during World War II. They became enemies after Hitler violated a non-aggression pact. Yes, with the exception of the division of Poland and the Soviet occupation of the Baltic states there was nothing in common between the two. The non aggression pact was used by Hitler to secure his eastern frontier prior to launching Barbarossa in the summer of 1941.

first answer: Betraying Joseph Stalin and invading Russia, even after Hitler promised Germany would not fight Russia. My answer: I disagree. Hitler's primary goal before the war was the defeat of Stalin's Soviet Union to end the threat of communism in Germany & Europe. Hitler falsely assumed that for him to attack the Soviet Union he would have to first defeat France, so he wouldn't have to worry about an attack from France during a war with the USSR. This assumption was based on the history of prior-alliances between France & Russia. But times and situations had changed for France & Russia. Russia was now a communist nation. In reality, Stalin was hated & feared throughout all of Europe. The Soviet Union had no friends or allies. If Hitler had attacked the USSR first, no other nation would have helped the USSR. Several nations would have and did help Germany attack the Soviet Union: Finland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria. Maybe even Poland would have helped. Poland sat between Germany & the USSR. Hitler assumed he would have to seize Poland before he could invade the USSR. Was it really necessary? When Japan joined the Axis (Germany & Italy) in 1940, Hitler should have gotten a commitment from Japan to help Hitler defeat Stalin. But he didn't, instead the Japanese would later attack the USA, giving Hitler a reason to Declare War on the US. This just made things worse for Hitler & Japan. Hitler's biggest mistake in my opinion was not finding a way to defeat the Soviet Union without involving the French, British, and the United States in the war.
