Electricity goes through the "electrical foot contact", heats up the wires (connected to the tungsten filament) therefore lighting the light bulb up. The filament is supported by wires. The glass mount holds up the two wires connected to the filament. That is how I think the light bulb works. Have a look.

Does Thomas Edisons light bulb still work?

No, the first light bulb that Thomas Edison invented is not still operational. Over time, light bulbs burn out and lose their ability to produce light due to the filament burning out. However, Edison's invention laid the foundation for modern lighting technology.

What was the key factor in Thomas Edisons success in designing the light bulb?

Thomas Edison's success in designing the light bulb was attributed to his persistent experimentation with different materials and methods to find the most suitable filament, his ability to iterate quickly on failures, and his team of skilled assistants who supported his work.

Who invented the light bulb and how does it work?

Thomas Alva Edison invented it.

What are thomas edisons qualities?

Diligence, hard work, and the want to learn

Why did Albert Einstein invent the light bulb?

Albert Einstein did not invent the light bulb. The light bulb was actually invented by Thomas Edison in 1879. Einstein was a physicist known for his theories of relativity and his work on the photoelectric effect, but he did not invent the light bulb.

Who invented the ''electric bulb''?

The electric light bulb was made by several people independent of each other. Thomas Edison is considered the creator of an effective light bulb. Others did not work as well or last as long.

How long did it take Albert Einstein to make the light bulb?

Albert Einstein did not invent the light bulb; that credit goes to Thomas Edison. Einstein, a theoretical physicist, is known for his work on the theory of relativity and his contributions to the field of physics, but not for inventing the light bulb.

Did Thomas Edison steal the idea of the light bulb?

Thomas Edison did not steal the idea of the light bulb. He improved upon the work of previous inventors and successfully commercialized the light bulb by developing a long-lasting, practical version that could be mass-produced. Edison's contributions to the development of the light bulb were significant and led to its widespread adoption.

When did Benjamin Franklin invent the light bulb?

Benjamin Franklin did not invent the light bulb. He conducted experiments with electricity. Thomas Edison was the inventor of the light bulb. However, as with most inventions, Edison built upon the work of others.
