The idea that modern politics is based on Greek origins stretches facts. The similarity between a tiny Greek city-state whose citizens numbered in the tens of thousands and a modern country which has tens or hundreds of millions living over a large area is tenuous. There were some basic Greek political ideas, but not relevant political systems.
