Kill all the blacks...
A rather desperate attempt to manage the admission of California as free soil. To placate the South, Congress agreed to a new Fugitive Slave Act, where official slave-catchers were employed to hunt down runaways. That law backfired badly, attracting many recruits to the Abolition movement.
The Compromise of 1850 make America terrible. It opened our eyes to slavery. If America didn't have slaves we wouldn't even be half as far along as we are now. Im not saying slavery was right, but Im not saying it was bad for America.
Compromise
Slaveholders would be more likely to support changes in government legislation to discontinue The Missouri Compromise. This is because they sought to expand slavery into new territories and states, believing that such changes would protect their economic interests and way of life. In contrast, Free-Soilers, who opposed the expansion of slavery, would resist any efforts to dismantle the compromise. Their goal was to limit slavery's reach, promoting free soil for white settlers instead.

Kill all the blacks...
for ever five elslaved people they counted three of them it was called a three- fifth
they didnt care
They really didn’t. The compromise came in counting the slaves as 3/4 of a person instead as a whole person because it set the number of House members. The compromise that the Framers reached on the issues of the tariffs and slavery were, to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises, also to regulate the Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several Sates, and with the Indian Tribes. So the Constitution gave Congress the power to place tariffs on imports, and the Congress was also given the power to control both the interstate and foreign trade. So to agreement with the Southern delegates the Framers from the North agreed to the Southern demands on slavery issue.
