How did the revolutionary war impact the US government today?

If the Revolutionary war never happened then the United States of America would not exist. We would currently be under the rule of England and we would have a Queen and not a President as our leader.

It affects people today usually for the greater good. To start with, we aren't ruled by the British. Also, we are our own country and we aren't ruled from a country that's over seas. Lastly, we became the dominant superpower.

Well first of all the big one is the fact that we are no longer a colony of Great Britain. We now are our own country with our own government, trade, economy, etc etc.. Despite this, Great Britain is probably our closest Ally and we would aid each other in the event of a war.
