They used panzer 1's to train their tankmen
The panzer in the lake is significant because it serves as a reminder of the historical events that took place during World War II. It symbolizes the impact of war on the environment and the lasting effects of conflict on society.
At the beginning of WW II,the greatest war machine that Germany constructed was the Panzer tank. When the Panzer first entered the battle field in 1939 no other armoured vehicle could compete with it. Not only this, but the fast paced tactics that the German high command utilized were unlike any that had been used before. Before the September of 1939, no other military in the world had used tanks in such numbers and with such speed. Germanys Panzer divisions tore threw Poland and France early on in the war. The idea of using tanks as highly mobile, fast paced killing machines (and, for that matter, in large numbers) became known as Blitzkrieg (German for "Lightning War"). It was the use of the Panzer in such overwhelming force that carved out Hitlers European Empire.
