Hi there,
I've researched this for some time. Unfortunately the US Navy did not keep records pertaining to which serial numbers were assigned to individual ships/crewmembers. So..I've got the same spyglass, #36706 in pristine condition and will have to live with it's current value. I was hoping for some time to place in on a ship that would increase it's value.
Germany was a Constitutional Monarchy, leaning towards autocracy. The Reichstag had -some- legislative power, but not much. The Kaiser remained Head of State, and the Reichskanzler whom he assigned remained Head of Government.
Article II of the Constitution addresses the authority of the President and the Executive branch of government. One power assigned the President is the ability to nominate US Supreme Court justices and Article III federal judges, with the "advice and consent" of the Senate.
Jamestown faced many challenges. They include Indians, starvation, struggle for power, and they settled in a swampy area, so disease was all around.
The serial number 45987 does not show in any of my sources. The first number begins with 70000. There is one source, Proofhouse.com, which states that before 1958, Browning serial numbers did not contain date or model information, and cannot be dated using the serial number. I would further ask, does your gun actually state 'Hi-Power'? and does it have browning grips or 'FN' [ Fabrique Nationale ] stamped on them? Is the hammer spur or round, does it have fixed or adjustable sights? Is it made in Belgium and assembled in Potugal? All these things may be pieced together to get closer to a manufacting date. John Moses Browning designed this gun, as well as many others such as the Colt Government 1911, but sold the designs or had them made by other companies. FN made most of his guns and FN finally purchased the company in 1977. In 1991 GIAT bought FN -Browning, and they also had some dealings with B.C Miroku [Japan]
When the US Constitution was ratified by the states, the delegates wanted to insure that the new Federal government had limited powers. To ensure this all powers not delegated to the Federal government, all powers not assigned to the Federal government are powers left to each state to decide.
A spyglass is usually symbolic of being able to see distant objects. It has the power to see where the human eye cannot, perhaps symbolic of a third eye, or greater eye power.
There were. But they were moved to Spyglass Eyewear on Spy Island.
A POA is not assigned. It is revoked by the maker and a new one is executed.
That serial number falls into the range of numbers 1-72250 which I can say was assigned to the Browing Hi-power from 1945-1954,and the records were not kept as to the serial numbers per year of production. You may find a more accurate production year by going to the browning web-site under customer service and looking under date your Browning.
power director 12 serial
It is the power which is delegated by someone. Lets take an example. Lets suppose Manager of XYZ company is going for a vacation. He delegates some decision power to his team member. This is considered as assigned power.

No. There were humorous glasses on the island to promote Spy Island in 2008, but they were moved to the Spyglass Eyewear store when Spy Island opened.
No serial number provided.
-- I don't know anything about your spyglass, but I'm going to assume thatthe diameter of the lens on the front of it is 1 inch.-- The diameter of the objective lens on the front of the main refractor at theYerkes Observatory in Williams Bay WI is 40 inches.-- The so-called 'light-gathering power' of a telescope is proportional to thearea of its objective, which is the same as saying the square of its radius. Sothe ratio of Yerkes' collecting area to that of your spyglass is(40)2 / (1)2 = (40/1)2 = 1,600 times, or 32 dB more.
Reserved powers are assigned to either the federal or local government, but not to both. Concurrent powers are assigned to both the federal and local government, and can be carried out simultaneously or as needed.
Impossible to answer without the serial number.
