Almost everything we know about Tutankamun we know becuse of the artifacts in his tomb. We know that he changed his name from Tutankhaton to Tutankamun when he became king at the age of 9 or 10, his father Akhenaton almost destroyed Egypt in a quest to make the god Aton the sole god worshiped in Egypt. He married his half sister Ankhesenepatan who changed her name to Ankhesenamen, they had two daughters, both of whom were born stillborn, leaving Tut with no heir. Tut's left leg was shorter than his right and the doctors (healers) at the time created him special sandals so that he would not limp and would more than likely ease some of his pain. During the 3rd year of his Reign we know he refused to worship Aton and chose to return Egypt to the worship of Amen and tried to restore Amen's temples and preists to their former glory. It is not known however if the king was doing this or General Horemheb, one of his advisors thought to have been named "Lord of the Land" as the king was so young. He was 18 upon his death, we do not know if he was assasinated or if he died of malaria broght on by a broken leg. Both of his daughters were buried with their father in mini caskets sealed by his own hand. He was suceeded by Ay who married Ankhesenamen ( we belive by force, it is also belived Ay was a uncle, the brother of Tut's father) and then by Horemheb.
