Once you deleted, you can't retrieve deleted browsing history.

"Ctrl+H", if there's nothing on the history, then your wife has deleted the history on your internet. However, you can specifically remove parts of the History, so this isn't 100% accurate.

It depends. If you deleted it while you were typing it for the first time, then no. If you accidentally deleted what someone else typed and you didn't save it, then what you can do is hit refresh or go back to "Question Home" and start over. If you did save it after deleting it, then the way to retrieve it is to either ask a supervisor to revert the answer, or you can reconstruct the answer from the Question History.
Passwords can be checked or unchecked to delete. It is an option in deleting the browsing data of Chrome.

Net Nanny cannot access or recover browsing history that was deleted before the software was installed. It only monitors and filters internet activity from the moment of installation onward. Any previously deleted history remains inaccessible to the software.
You can easily erase the Chrome Data in Google Chrome. Delete browsing history can be done in the history tab.
