Like anyone I see that the world would probably be better without all the killing and such but, even though it would be nicer its not possible because of the people the world is made up of. I'm not much of a peace person because no matter how much anyone tries no one is going to be able to put a stop to all violence because it is a flaw in the human race. So the idea of nonviolence is nice and all but, it is never going to achieved because that's just the way of the world. Sorry :D

What was the basic belief behind the tactic of nonviolence?

The basic belief behind the tactic of nonviolence is that social and political change can be achieved through peaceful means rather than through violence or aggression. Proponents argue that nonviolence can foster understanding, compassion, and moral high ground, effectively mobilizing people and drawing attention to injustices. This approach emphasizes the power of collective action, civil disobedience, and dialogue to challenge oppressive systems while minimizing harm to individuals and communities. Nonviolence is rooted in the idea that love and respect for all human beings can lead to lasting change.

Why must nonviolence be unadulterated to be effective?

Nonviolence must be unadulterated to be effective because any form of violence or aggression undermines the moral and ethical principles inherent in nonviolent actions. When nonviolence is diluted or compromised with violence, it loses its power to challenge unjust systems peacefully and inspire positive change. Unadulterated nonviolence is essential for mobilizing people, gaining public support, and ultimately achieving lasting and transformative social and political transformations.
