From apatients perspective. It is necessary to understand how you have been effected. A base line test of prior and post language abilities and humor is useful.

Often brain injuries as in my case involve a time of extreme physiological confusion, temporal insanity, immediately following the accident. If the individual has suffered depression or emotional imbalances in the past these are likely to be exacerbated.

The individual mast regain / main a sense of self worth that may been lost are result of the brain injury. To do this it is important to understand the individuals strengths and weakness.

This healing process is also an process of adapting. The hardest part is seeing the world so differently through a new lens I interpret the world around me. I have found journalling is very helpful low pressure way to put difficult thoughts in box.

What are the four lobes of the cortex and their respective functions?

Alright well firstly you have the frontal lobe, which deals with reasoning, creativity, decision-making, memory short term, focus and attention. Then there is the occipital lobe which deals with vision, aka color, movement or motion, etc.The third lobe is the temporal lobe which deals with hearing or the auditory process. Lastly there is the parietal lobe which deals with sensory movements, touch, spaces and faces or spatial functioning. I am currently taking psychology so feel free to ask anymore questions or clarifications. Although I did remember this information, the information was learned or obtained from the book Exploring Psychology by David Myers

Yes, a bang on the head can potentially trigger the onset of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) in a person with an enlarged temporal lobe. However, not everyone with such a condition will develop epilepsy after a head injury, as individual susceptibility varies.
