There are several Ancient Egyptian languages. Some which have no phonetic component (like hieroglyphics) and some which do (like Demotic). For the ones that do not, it is more about creating a cartouche with a particular design you like. For Demotic, just use the alphabet this question links to spell a word that sounds like Jennifer.

The difference between a phonetic and non-phonetic writing system is as follows. In a phonetic writing system, I have the word 'four' which is composed of a 'f' sound followed by a 'o' sound and followed by an 'r' sound. I notice all of these elements in the word 'four' which is how I know how to pronounce this word (even if I did not really speak English. A non-phonetic writing system might be like '4'. There is no way that looking at that symbol that I would know how to pronounce it and in fact, its name changes depending on the language to vier (German), arba3 (Arabic), quattro (Italian), etc.

Did the ancient Egyptians write in Arabic?

Most people in ancient Egypt were uneducated and unable to write anything. The small minority of educated people were taught two systems of writing: for almost all of Egyptian history writing was either in hieroglyphs or in hieratic script (which was a simplified version of hieroglyphs). At the end of ancient Egyptian history demotic script was developed, based on hieratic but much more complex. By about 300 AD Coptic script was used - this was simply the Greek alphabet with a few additional signs for Egyptian sounds not found in Greek. The Arabs invaded Egypt in 639 AD, long after the end of ancient Egypt; the Arabs brought Islam and Arabic writing with them and both have been used in Egypt ever since. So ancient Egyptians could not ever have used Arabic writing.
