-Organizing nursing groups to tend to the wounded
Women contributed in many ways...they helped to build ships for military uses, and were consitdered to be a part of the war. They worked harder than any man would have, building one ship in a week average. They put so much effort into trying to prove that they could do the work just as well as any man, but after the war was over they were kicked aside becoase of all the men coming back from the war. I think that the women of the '40s should have diserved a lot more credit than they were given.

The Women were very important during World War one.
the most important job done by the women during the war was to work in the munitions factory
Women and minorities in WW1Women played a vital role in the First World War, performing their 'traditional' tasks such as nursing, while making deep inroads into other industries like munitions production and transport, some women also played an important role in writing letters. Some soldiers who were wounded in battle could no longer read or write so, many women wrote letters and read incoming letters for soldiers who could not anymore. This played an important role in troop morale.
any job that was free but mainly a medic
women played a very important role during world war 1. While men were out fighting in the war, women went out of the homes to the mills to help in the production process.
