Magnetism is used to operate the fan motors and the disk drive motors as well as operating the "voice coil" that causes the disk read/write heads to move. The surfaces of the hard disk "media" is magnetized to represent data. The hard disk read/write heads are nothing more than small electromagnets and as the heads move across the spinning disk media, magnetic data is sent or received by the disk heads.
Older computers used a magnetic "core" to store data. That's the origin of the term, "core memory". With the decrease in cost ind incredible speed of transistor based memory, nobody uses magnetic core any more.

The relationship between electricity and magnetism was discovered by the scientist Michael Faraday in the 19th century.
ASCII is a form of character encoding, so it can be used by your computer for any task.

Yes
It is plugged into a wall outlet.
magnetism works by the type of metal used to pull other type metal to it.
Magnetism, people believed it was magical because they had no understanding of the forces of magnetism.

An electro-magnet.
Permanent magnetism is magnetism that is permanent. I think...
Residual magnetism and remanence are the same thing. The term residual magnetism is often used in engineering applications. Both terms describe the magnetization, and measure of that magnetism, left behind in a ferromagnetic material after the external magnetic field is removed.
yes we can produce electricity without magnetism by using semiconductor for example photo diode is used in solar cells.
Neodymium magnets are known for retaining their magnetism for a long time due to their strong magnetic properties. They are commonly used in various applications where long-term magnetism is important, such as in electric motors and generators.
