Mosaic Law forbids delaying trials, therefore Capital Offenses are tried as soon as possible. Essentially it would mean that the trial starts the following day - as trials have to start in the morning. Capital Offenses may not be decided on the day they started, in order to give the judges a night to "sleep over it". Thus the trial must take at least 2 days. Dragging out the trial is forbidden, unless the accused wants to bring witnesses which are not readily available.
