Britain
After Captain James Cook was killed in Hawaii in 1779, his ship, the HMS Resolution, continued its journey under the command of Captain Charles Clerke. Following further explorations, the Resolution returned to England in 1780. The ship was eventually decommissioned and sold, with its final fate being that it was broken up for parts.
